At the beginning of October, the LIFE Revers’eau coordinating team travelled to Amiens for the French-speaking Interlife event. This annual event brings together French-speaking LIFE project leaders (integrated or traditional) focusing on nature. This 2024 edition was organised by LIFE Anthropofens, supported by the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels des Hauts-de-France, in Amiens.
Attended by members of Elmen and CINEA, this event was an opportunity to meet the coordinators of numerous French and Belgian LIFE projects. The Interlife meetings are an ideal opportunity to follow the progress of French-speaking LIFE projects, as well as the launch of new LIFE projects.
These meetings are also an opportunity to talk to Elmen and CINEA and ask them questions about project coordination: KPI management, event organisation, the post-LIFE period, as well as purely financial and administrative aspects.
And between two working groups, the coordinator of LIFE Anthropofens, which is seeking to restore some 480 hectares of peat bogs spread over 13 Natura 2000 sites in the Hauts de France region, took us on a tour of the alkaline peat bogs at Belloy sur Somme and La Chaussée.
LIFE Revers’eau has also volunteered to host the 2026 edition of the Interlife!
