Meeting to launch the study on the Loire estuary by Angers University

The launch meeting for the study on the function of the Loire estuary planned as part of the LIFE REVERS’EAU project took place by video conference on 02 June 2021.

23 French researchers specialising in estuaries (geochemists, sedimentationists, and ecologists from universities in Angers, Nantes, Bordeaux, Paris, Rouen, Nîmes, Pau, Ifremer Nantes and from the CNRS) met to structure completed or ongoing research projects on the phosphorous cycle in the Loire estuary, and more broadly in the land-sea continuum in the Loire.

Discussions specifically focussed on comparing the results from the various projects, on the problem of sampling and on geochemical testing methods in the estuary waters, and on the preparation of forthcoming measurement campaigns (June and August 2021).
