The Oudon basin board has launched the first small Local Water Commission of Chéran river as part of the LIFE action to restore the Chéran water body.
The Oudon basin board carries out an action of LIFE REVERS’EAU project and will benefit from European funding from the LIFE program. The action targets one of the sub-watersheds of the Oudon: the Chéran. The objective of the “LIFE Chéran” action is, in the long term, the recovering of the good condition of these water bodies. The action aims for a collaborative and multi-thematic approach on a small territory where the pressures are multiple.
In this context, various actors of the territory met on Wednesday March 2, 2022 in Saint Saturnin du Limet for the first small Local Water Commission of Chéran. This commission is made up of elected officials, representatives of associations, technical and financial partners… Its objective is to follow the evolution of the “LIFE Chéran” action and to share the water issues in this territory. This meeting continued with a field visit to the Hunaudières lake where work on the riparian forest and threshold removal will soon take place. This visit was the occasion to see the site before the works, which will allow…which will allow a comparison when the work will finish.
